The humans typed this for me as I can't quite read and write yet.... Mom, Life is great living with Donner, Tonya and Ruby. The ride home was a long one and I was very good. Donner stopped about every hour or two so that I could romp and play and do my potty things. On one stop we even got Pizza.
I sure seemed to be popular as lots of people greeted me where ever we went. Virginia is much warmer than New Jersey was and flowers are starting to bloom and the grass is very green. It rained during the road trip and I was not too certain what all that was about but with hugs and reassurance from Tonya, I made it though my first big storm happy and fine.
So much has been happening, I don't know what to tell you.
There is a Gigantic park just a few minutes ride from our home. Donner tells me it is the largest city park in the Nation. There are over 700 deer in that park and hundreds of different animals to track. I am up to walking about 3 miles now but I get carried when my legs get tired. I still nap a lot and pounce on Ruby. She is great fun and licks me like she loves me.
I have lots of toys to chew on and my favorites are a woody doll and this thing that looks like an infants toy. It makes sounds when I move it and it has lots of different things that hang off it that have different textures. Some crinkle and some don't. I do chase these round yellow balls and love to pull the fuzz off them. When I bring them back to Donner, he tosses them for me to chase. Plus Donner has a friend that comes over and he plays on the floor with me too.
Soon I am going over to Donner's mom's house and meet a mini Doberman Pincher (whatever that is) who is suppose to be young and very playful. Sam, another dachshund, lives there too and she is about 14 years old. Ruby and her are best of friends and they go camping a lot.
At first, I was not too sure about riding in this cart that Donner pulls behind his bike. I am strapped in by my harness so I can't fall out, and we get to go around to lots of places where I can run and play and chase balls and get pets from strangers.
Life is great! :)
Lick Lick, pant pant....

Hi Susan,
Thought you might enjoy seeing pictures of my Rocky (Weber). We've had him for four weeks on Monday and he's a complete joy! Can't thank you enough.
My best,
Nancy
Hi guys!!,
Bo arrived safe and sound.
He settled into his new home rather quickly. Our two sons stayed up nearly an hour past their bedtimes to play with Bo and help make him feel right at home.
It's 11pm now and he's still going strong. He's everything we hoped for and more. Thank you so much. We are all ecstatic about our new addition to the family.
We'll send some photos to you soon
Steve
Hi,
First of all, I really apologize for the delay in emailing you about Dempsey (formerly Jake). I chose to name him Dempsey, since it is Irish meaning "intelligent one."
He has been keeping me busy, but in a very good way. I've had him now for almost 2 months, and each day just gets better.
He's so smart, has so much personality, is a blast to be around, and there's never a dull moment. His favorite thing to do to get my attention, is to cut the speaker phone off and on.
This only happens about 25 times a day.
LOL
I sincerely want to thank you, for the type of puppies you provide, through Violet Meadow Farms.
He is all that I expected and more. Everyone has to stop and meet him, ask questions, etc. He's even had his picture made, a few times, by strangers.
The Vet has remarked, at each visit, that he "is just perfect." She especially loves his markings and face. The Vet Tech whispered to me, that he is the prettiest Jack Russell, she's ever seen. Dempsey has been in obedience for a couple of weeks now. That is going just fine.
He can sit, shake , come when called , play fetch and bring back the ball. He is a quick learner, and in fact, picked up on house training in about 3 days. Thank goodness!! I continue to look at your website from time to time. I enjoy seeing the puppies. If anyone is deciding whether or not to purchase one, I'd say "YES" to them. They would not regret it. Again, I think you all do a fantastic job, and I know I made the right decision. I appreciate all of the help you gave and all of the questions you answered prior to me getting Dempsey. His flight from NJ to NC went fine. Only problem was, I don't think the man from the airlines wanted to hand him over. He said he was going home to try and convince his wife to get one.
I am hoping that my parents, and I, will be traveling to NY in late June/ early July. If so, we would love to come by VMF and meet everyone. Of course Dempsey will be with us. He never leaves my side and is included in everything. I am going to attempt to attach a couple of photos to this email. I hope they come through. They were taken about a week ago, when he was right around 4 months old.
Hope everything is going well and your May is off to a great start. Thanks again for everything. I'll be in touch soon with an update and more pics.

I just wanted to take a minute to tell you how wonderful Teagan is.
She has become a very special part of our family. You might even say she has become the baby of the family.....a role that she takes very seriously....and we give in to :) I can't imagine not having found her, I feel like she's always been a part of our clan. She is so wonderful.
She and Kirra have become friends and enjoy "playing" together, Kirra is very gentle with her. We still have to watch them carefully, but they are doing great. The cats are still not quite sure what to make of this little bundle of energy, but they are adjusting well.Teagan has a way of fitting right in and warming your heart. We are so in love with her.
You knew that she was the right one for us, we were having so much trouble deciding on which puppy to chose, they are all so sweet, and after much debate between our family, you helped guide us to Teagan (Minnie), it's like you guys knew that she was meant to be with us.
After we got home and I had so many questions for you, you took so much time to listen and help, your advice was perfect and your compassion was just what I needed. Thank you. We are so happy to have Teagan in our family, we really love her. I have to tell you about the cutest thing that she does...while I am fixing her food she sits very still and polite, and while I am preparing it she slowly moves closer and closer until she's sitting right underneath my leg and stays there until I put her food down, but she just is so polite about it .
Did you teach her this? It is really cute.
Anyway, Thanks again
Karyn and family
Hi to all at Violet Meadow Farm,
I hope you are well.
We are just LOVING Millie to bits. She is such a sweetheart and really so smart and well-behaved. She is well on her way to becoming housebroken, even though we were just getting our routine down when the blizzard hit! Who tries to housebreak a puppy in the middle of a blizzard!?! Just now, as I was sitting here writing this, she went to the door and whined to let me know she had to go out!! What a good dog! We don't even have newspaper down anymore. We just make sure she goes out every couple of hours, and giving her treats for a job well-done doesn't hurt either.
The kids have been great with her and all of their friends have been coming over to play with Millie. She has instantly become a major member of our family and we can't imagine life without her! The best fun for me so far was watching my dad get down on the floor to play with her! I've attached a photo of Emily loving Millie...enjoy.
Thanks again for raising such a great puppy!

Hi Susan,
I just wanted to write to tell you how much we love little Dublyn!
She's made quite a difference in our lives. There are adjustments, but LOTS of joy, too! She makes us smile & laugh with her antics and expressions.
On Tuesday, I was raking leaves in the backyard and she really enjoyed running through or burrowing in the piles of leaves, as you will see on one of the photos I've attached. When I would laugh, she would look at me and then do something else comical... I think she's a little ham sometimes! =) Everywhere I go - whether the post office, on a walk, etc. - I get compliments of how adorable, pretty and/or sweet she is. Yesterday morning, I took her to the vet and at least FOUR people wrote down your phone #! =)
As I get to know Dublyn, I see more and more how beautiful and smart she is! She has gorgeous markings and you're right, she has beautiful black eyes... but even more than that, she has a sunshine personality. I just have to look at or think of her and I smile.
She really likes stuffed animals and bimple bones. It's fun to see her wrestle with plushes! Also, the house-training is going wonderfully. We take her out often and praise her when does her business outside. And if she needs to go out in- between times, she is VERY vocal about it! She has not messed inside the house AT ALL.
I'm so proud of her.
She responded to her name quite quickly, too... as well as the word "no," though she sometimes is already testing my authority on that. She also understands when I tell her "drop it," if she has picked up something she shouldn't. She's so smart!
We will begin formal training after the holidays. She is currently sleeping nearby... She likes to be close. We were playing outside earlier and she sometimes likes to take a mid-morning nap after play. She's EXTRA adorable when she's sleeping!
Have a great day & God bless!
Kind Regards,
Kerry (& Dublyn)
Hi guys,
I just wanted to tell you again - thanks for sending me Susie (aka Taran).
She is THE most wonderful puppy I have ever seen.
The handler at the airport just kept saying - "now I LIKE THAT dog!". It was like he couldn't believe how cute she was - and neither could I!
As I was walking out with her wrapped in a big bath towel, everyone was oooo'ing and aaaahhhh'ing. She has such a wonderful personality. When we got home she kept trying to get into the kennel that came with her - so I opened the door - she ran in, dug around a bit, and came out with a pigs ear! She chews on that thing every chance she gets - in between giving me hugs and kisses!
It's amazing how quick she warmed up to her new home. The funniest thing so far is when she sees her reflection in a full length mirror I have in my bedroom...she makes funny noises and starts jumping around having a grand old time!
I do love her Susan - it's obvious she's going to fill my home and life with happiness and joy - and a thrill a minute - for hopefully a very long time. P.S. Feel free to use this e-mail as a testimonial if you like. You guys deserve the kudos'!
