I hope this finds you doing well.
Murphy and I are doing great here in Tampa. So great, in fact, that I've been inspired to send you this quick email letting you know how he is and how much he means to me.
I cannot begin to tell you how much I love this little dog since he arrived in September. He is the sweetest, FUNNIEST and most loving creature I have ever (or will ever) have the pleasure of knowing. He is completely brave and gets along well with many other dogs, both big and small. I cannot say he is 100% obedient but he is completely loyal.
There is not a mean or snippy bone in his body! Although the cannot go with me everywhere, he charms everyone he comes across when we are out and about. Riding in the car, people stare and smile at him. Joggers stop to pet him on the sidewalk. Even confirmed large dog snobs fall in love with him. If I go out of town, friends line up to take care of him.
Feelings have gotten hurt over this!
If, God forbid, something should happen to me, there would probably be a custody battle over him! Murphy has offered up a lot of laughs, too. It is so true these guys know how to get in trouble and make you laugh doing it.
Lucky for me, he has rarely done anything too serious to warrant a major reprimand. A couple of months ago, Murphy got loose from his leash and started running for a busy road a block away. To make a long story short, I caught up with him before he made it to that street, but I have NEVER been so terrified as I watched him run a way. Once I got a hold of him, all I could do was squeeze him to me. It took me a good 15 minutes to come down from that.
From the day he arrived he was my baby, but it was on this day that I realize just how much he meant to me. In a nutshell, Murphy is loved and has a good home. He is happy and healthy and everything you promised he would be - and so much more.
My life has been forever enriched because of him.
I've attached a picture of him taken during the holidays. Enjoy!
Warmest regards,
Kelli Mitchell
You are the best!
Thanks!
Dear Susan,
We are doing great. Sorry, no photo's yet...as Goose has eaten my camera!! :) Just kidding.
Will send some as soon as I take some pictures...By the way, I'm the MOST popular boy in Greenwich Village now. ...I cant walk two feet without being stopped with Goose. I'm afraid that his fur is going to rub off from all the petting and loving he is getting! He is asleep on my foot right now as I write this.
Sweet dreams from Goosey.

Hello Susan,
Finally, we had a chance to scan in a few of our favorite photos of Emmitt. He just turned a year in June & we can't believe it has even been that long since we got him.
As you can see in the photos he has a brother (cat) named MacIntyre & they seem to get along famously. There are always a few wrestling matches that are well, pretty well matched between the two of them.
Joe & I love to take Emmitt on many of our adventures, whether it be hiking in the Adirondack Mountains or swimming in New Hampshire's Lake Winnipesaukee.
Emmitt is always up for an excursion. He has taken a real liking to swimming in the Lake. Once we get him in the water there is just no getting him out! He is a natural.
Emmitt does enjoy a little down time once in a while too. He is usually content to sit & watch a good movie with us now & then... but unfortunately, we usually save the popcorn for ourselves.
We just couldn't decide which of our favorite pictures to send so we sent them all. Please feel free to post which of the few that you like.
Thanks again for helping us find the right puppy for our family & don't be too surprised if you hear from us again for another addition :o)
Warmest Regards,
Stephanie Northey, Joe Mirabile & Emmitt(soon to be Mr. & Mrs. Mirabile) Albany, N.Y.
Hi,
I was visiting the site again, as I love seeing what is up with all of the little darlings. Jubilee 7-08-02 has grown into a wonderful loving and affectionate silly girl. She jumps so high and sometimes repeatedly it seems as if she either has springs in her feet or is on a trampoline. She is our slap stick clown of the family.
Beauty 7-09-02 is the princess of our home and seems at times to be awaiting the red carpet. She would be well suited to receiving guests while on her velvet pillow.
However, she is "overwhelmingly affectionate". We call it being puppied ...unexpectedly having Beauty jump into your lap and wiggle and lick your face almost to the point of suffocation.
These two treasures have added hours of fun and laughter to our days and unsurpassed love to our family.
Best regards,
Janet, Kristina, Julie and Will Farese-Gannon
Spring Lake Heights, NJ.
P. S. Oh they both learned to swim in the Manasquan Inlet this year at dog beach, but if given the option they would rather swim out to Will and get a piggy back ride to shore.
Hello Sue,
Well, I've had Grace for one week and it feels like she has always been with us. My Parson Jack, Bella, is enjoying Grace's company as much as I am.
I am amazed daily at how well she has adapted to our lifestyle. As soon as I get home from school, I take the girls out of their crates and Grace is yipping at the patio door to go out to do what she needs to do.
Even though Bella is older, she is learning good behaviors from Grace. The pup's temperament is awesome. She is such a hoot to watch. Her antics keep me smiling all evening.
She and Bella have this thing going where Bella takes one side of a pull toy and Grace takes the other side and Bella pulls her up onto the sofa because there's no way she can get up there by herself.
When she's in her crate for the night there is no crying as long as she has her doggie pillow and chew toy. Her disposition is so sweet, everyone falls in love with her at first sight. She is a testament to her breeding and handling as a pup.
It is evident she had a lot of love and great care before I got her. If anyone has any qualms about getting an Irish Jack, let me put his mind at ease.
These are the most lovable, playful, loyal, funny little tykes you could ever wish for. I'm so happy with my experience with Violet Meadow Farm, I'm telling all my friends about your fabulous website. Thank you for bringing Grace into our lives.
We love her so much.
Rosemary and Bella
Hi Sue,
I thought I would just drop you a little note to give you and update on our special little guy. He has truly turned into a gem.
We are enjoying him sooo much and can't tell you how lucky we are to have him. I have to say that were times when he did get the better of us, but we won out in the end. He has graduated from 2 classes and will be attending "college" in the fall.
He has learned to blow bubbles in the water (hopefully will be able to get a photo of this to send you), plays soccer better than Pale and loves to "sleep in " with his dad in the morning.
He really is a very sound sleeper - not much wakes him up!!! He really is a very smart and lovable young man and sure he will just keep getting better - couldn't love him more. Maybe someday we will "add" to the family. Again, thank you and have to say that I look at your website every week (just in case)!!!
Take care and have a great summer!

Good Morning Susan,
Finally I could get to my laptop to write.
Madigan (aka "Maddy" aka "Bratty Maddy")(Rebecca's new name) is doing great. We just love her! She went to the vet last week and any everything looks wonderful.
The vet was very impressed with how healthy Maddy is (no ear mites, nails trimmed, no fleas). In fact, she was a huge hit at the vets. Especially after we were the lobby along with a huge lab who was checking out.
Maddy was in my arms wagging her little tail and playfully growling and barking at the big black dog. It was so funny. She is definitely no fear.We introduced her to our cattle dog, Kally. They quickly became best friends. Kally acts like a mother to the puppy it is so cute!
We think Kal is happier now that she has company throughout the day. We also introduced her to my mom's JRT and Sheltie. They too get along great. The two JRTs are perfect for each other and can play and play and play. They seem to have endless energy.
My mom also has two cats. She loves to bark and chase them. The cats have been around JRTs too long and know if they just fall over and lay there the dogs will leave them alone. Maddy much prefers if they run around so she can chase them.
I have also taken her to the barn to see the horses a couple of times. We bring her x-pen so she can sit in the sunshine while I ride. I don't think she is too sure of the horses. Those are really big dogs. The kids at the barn take her all over the farm. She loves it.
We have started taking her for short walks with our other dogs. She really picks up on things fast. She loves the water and have to hold her back from diving into the lake every chance she gets She is doing awesome in her potty training.
We have had very few accidents in the house. She has even begun to come and get us if she needs to go outside. She is extremely smart and has even learned to sit down for a treat. She loves her little crate and sleeps in it at night.
Our other JRT loves it just as well and tries to get in it with Maddy. It is really comical. We nick named her "Bratty Maddy" because if she sees something she wants, regardless of which dog has it, she gets it.
She is really giving our other JRT a run for her money. Before it was Zoe who got all the goods, now Maddy is right there in getting what she wants. We love it. We could not have a more perfect dog. I just wanted to thank you for everything you did to bring Maddy home to us. We just love her!She is the best puppy ever.
She is full of life and personality and we can hardly believe she is part of our family. The whole experience was a great one and we know we will be giving you a call when we are ready for the next one!
Take care and have a great summer,
Kerry & Mike, Kally, Maddy and Bailee (the horse)
Hello!
Here is a picture of Scout just being his adorable self. I brought him to the vet on friday and he couldn't get over what a calm puppy he was. He said he was in perfect health!
I've been reading a lot of jack russell books and they seem to agree that two jacks are better than one! I've brought Scout to play with my friends six month old puppy a couple times and I can't help thinking that he would love having a buddy at home to play with.
Nicole (in Michigan)(since this message, Nicole added another JRT named 'Gracie')
Wow!
I was poking around in the Chronicle and found your ad and checked out your site. I have two shorties that I purchased at different times while foxhunting with the Galway Blazers.
I really thought that few people appreciated the difference in temperament and personality of the Irish Jack. Those of us who have them KNOW they are something else, but I felt I was part of a small group.
I am so happy to know that I am, in fact, not! I am ecstatic that someone else is spreading the joy of Irish shorties around the world!

Dear Susan,
I am writing just to let you know how happy we are with our new puppy "Jody".
I don't know where to begin, but since the day I popped in on Mick until today,it has been such a pleasant and rewarding experience to have this little girl in our lives. I wish I hadn't waited as long as I did. She is absolutely beautiful and positively adorable. She comes everywhere with us (like my pocketbook!) and everyone wants to meet her!
I can't thank you enough for everything that you did for us. When I tell people that the breeder actually drove my new puppy to me (250 miles) they just can't believe it. Talk about TLC!!!! She was so clean and so healthy and happy to meet me and it was love at first site!
She keeps us laughing all the time! Sometimes she can't get over herself! She was so easily house-trained in only 2 weeks! My husband, as you know, was very worried about getting a new puppy. If only you could see him now! When he comes home from work, guess who he runs to first??? Guess who sleeps on him every night? Guess who is overly-protective of his little "snub"?
Jody is one of the family now, and I don't know how we ever got along without her! My three children can't get enough of her and they all play together wonderfully.
She has no lack big brothers that's for sure!!! They show her off like a shiny new toy, except this one kisses back!!! Again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything. We're thinking about a new sister for her...
Sincerely and gratefully yours,
Carol, Allan, AJ, Tommy, David and Jody Ferraro

My fiancé and I have had an outstanding experience with Susan.
We got our dog George from them last October and I have to tell you that he has changed my life. George goes everywhere with us and we only go where he can go. I don't see this as a limitation, as we could leave him at home, but as a choice to spend as much time with him as possible.
George is truly a member of our family. George has a great temperament and loves people, children and other dogs. We couldn't be happier or say enough good things about George and our relationship with Mick and Susan.
Warm Regards;
Jonathan Colton

I just wanted to send you a quick note to tell you about Susan and her Jack Russell puppies.
I was looking for the right dog for a long time and I did extensive research about the type of dog I wanted and the type of place I wanted to get my dog from.
It is crucial to the health and well being of the puppy you adopt as well as the humane treatment of all animals that your dog come from a reputable home. After a long search for the right dog, I found an ad about these Irish Jack Russells.
As I also live in New Jersey, I gave them a call and went up to see the puppy that was available. What I found was not only the greatest dog I could have imagined, but also a wonderful home and two individuals who cared a great deal for the dogs they raise.
I got Maggey Grace when she was twelve weeks old, which was only about a month ago. Since then, she has become an integral part of my family. Although it is just her and I at home, a day does not go by that my parents and relatives insist I bring her by for a visit. On our first trip to the the doctor just days after I got her, she was given a clean bill of health and is growing into a wonderful companion.
She is a strong and feisty little girl with the sweetest temperament and an intelligence which surprises me every day. She loves to runaround with her vast collection of toys and is often found with her entire head in her water bowl. Maggey is also doing very well with house training.
It is no accident that I have a wonderful dog. The amount of time and attention given to her as a young puppy by Susan is the reason she has developed into such a great pet. It is not easy to find people so gracious in their treatment of the puppies in their care.
I could see as I left with Maggey that day, that they had both grown somewhat attached to her and a small part of them was going to miss her. I wholeheartedly recommend any one of their puppies.
You will not only be satisfied with the quality of the dog you receive, but the lifetime of love and affection you will receive is priceless.

I got an Irish Jack from Susan earlier this summer and can attest that the pup has changed our house.
We have 4 other dogs at home, but Jacko´s arrival in May changed everything. He is so energetic and friendly that he is already famous where we live after only 3 months.
It's true that Jacko loves our shoes, but his energy make life a lot more fun. The pup is strong and healthy after his trip to us. I have absolutely no complaints about Irish Jacks. They're great.
