Violet Meadow Farm’s IrishJacks

Bentley is doing great. He is now 4 1/2 months old and we will neuter him around the first of the year. I did propose to Susan that she could use him for breeding if she liked. His tempermant is so wonderful and he is a beautiful animal. More specifically, the vet said his teeth are great!

Hope you had a nice Christmas. Santa was good to us. Bentley is doing fabulous and was just neutered this week. He graduated from two training classes and he is a great joy to us. All the best.

I am finally getting in touch with you…time flies these days!  So we adopted Frosty and did change his name to Brady. He is right at home and pretty much in a routine now.  Definitely lots of energy but one of my other dogs is as well…and he is very funny..easily amuses himself running laps around the house.  Today was the first day I walked the 3 of them by myself and it was like walking a Shetland and a thoroughbred….lol  I had to have them even out the pace a bit bc my other dog has super long legs!  He is not afraid of the horses at all and the two year old gallops around every day we walk and all Brady wants to do is go in there…needless to say we need lots of fence training!  He is a lap dog already and falls asleep every night on the couch with my husband (as we speak).  Most importantly he has become my daughters best friend…she doesn’t have any other siblings so he has filled that void…she loves him and is with her all the time she is in the house!

Thanks for the certificate.  I am happy to report that Buster is doing GREAT.  We were able to get his new brother, Bear, within two months of Buster’s arrival and they have become a strong team.  Buster is an extremely sweet little guy.  Bear is a smooth coat collie bred at Conway Arabians (my husband’s brother) and Bear’s father, Noble, was best in class at Westminster a few years ago.  So far, the doggies don’t even care about each other’s breeding backgrounds!  They have become great friends with the laying hens and accompany us for chores of all kinds.

We absolutely love Buster.  I will get some better pics of them with our family.  Attached is one we took a few days after we got Bear and they were both smaller.  Buster’s favorite activity has been winding down the day, sitting in front of the fire on my lap…….you gotta love that!

Dear IrishJacks:

We just want to take this time to tell you how our IrishJacks, Sonny, Gidian, and Skye have changed our lives.  We absolutely could not imagine life without them.

We got Sonny from Susan in March, 2010.  Sonny is EXTREMELY bright and intelligent, as well as beautiful.  He is cheeky, funny, affectionate, and he KNOWS that he is the ruler out of the three.  He watches over his sisters, Gidian and Skye, always showing us that he is the man, and that he will always look out for them (and us!)

Because we immediately fell so in love with Sonny, we went back to Susan at IrishJacks and adopted Gidian in May 2010.  Again, we couldn’t have been happier – Gidian is the epitome of femininity and confidence.  She has this little petite frame, and when she walks, she has this little “lady strut” that is just so endearing!  And she is such a “kisser” that we would not have any of our faces left if we just let her have her way!

You would think that two would be enough, but because we love Susan’s IrishJacks so very much, we adopted Skye on Halloween 2010.  She was 9 weeks old when we brought her home, and she is an absolute gem!  So intelligent and affectionate, and she loves her sister and brother.  I tell you, the temperaments of Susan’s dogs are just perfect – our dogs are happy whether they are at doggie daycare, at the dogpark playing with the other dogs, or just being couch potatoes.  They have put all of their pawprints on our hearts – they are our children, and we just love them more than life itself!

The only thing keeping us from getting a 4th puppy from Susan is that our finances will not allow us to right now, but if we ever decide to adopt another short-legged Jack Russell Terrier, it will be from no-one other than Susan Sarao.  Her IrishJacks are the BEST – hands down!  We thank her for changing our lives with IrishJack love!!!
